Mabel Weeks, age 82 of Chipley, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mabel was born June 20, 1931 in Chipley to the late Jasper Edward and Elizabeth Camilla (Brown) Dean. A lifelong resident of Chipley, she was a former cashier for Tom Thumb. Mabel was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Chipley and a member of the Joy Group, Senior Women's Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, John Weeks. Survivors include; 3 sons: Darrell Weeks and wife Karen of Chipley, FL., Danny Weeks of Chipley, FL., and Mark Weeks and wife Svetlana of Tallahassee, FL. 1 daughter: Deborah Chesnut of Thomaston, Ga., 1 sister: Judy Whittington of Chipley, Fl.,10 grandchildren: Ashley, Dianna, Joshua, Jordon, Sarah, Halley, Tucker, Marshall, Stacey, Holly, Megan, and Forrest, and great grandchildren: Ian, Mason, Zoey, Liam, Summer, Skyler, Colby (Chase), Luke, and Jeremy Thomas. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 3 P.M. at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Patton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
