Louie Adams, age 77 of Chipley, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Louie was born March 14, 1936 in Broken Bow Oklahoma to the late George and Dinah (Nichols) Peres. He had been a resident of Chipley for the past 55 years, coming from Alabama and was a retired carpenter. Louie was a member of the Carpenters Union and Miners Union and was a trained demolition expert. In addition to his family, he loved fishing and hunting. He is predeceased by: his parents, one brother, Frank Peres and a sister, Rachel Brown. Survivors include; his wife of 54 years, Carmen (Watson) Adams of Chipley; one son, Flint Adams of Chipley; three daughters, Rita Sweat of Chipley, Jenah Warren of Chipley and Desiree Dalton (Mark) of Lynn Haven, Fla.; one brother, Tommy Peres of Bay Town, Texas; three sisters, Rita Marks of California, Dorothy Wilkes of South Carolina and Donna Adams of McAllen, Texas; ten grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Brown Funeral Home, Main St. Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 28, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the graveside in Earthman Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Baytown, Texas.
