Lonnie M. Dahl, 97 of Vernon, went home to be with the Lord on November 12, 2025 at the Bonifay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Lonnie was born on May 17, 1928 in Havana, Florida to Rufus and Cora (Lassitter) Ward. A lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle, she was a faithful member of Live Oak Baptist Church in Vernon, Florida. Lonnie will be remembered for her artistic touch, writing numerous poems and songs, as well her love of singing. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and baking. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Dahl; brothers: Julian Ward, Lloyd Ward, Odell Ward, David Ward, Floyd Ward; sisters: Bonnie Ward and Ruth Ward.

She is survived by her sons; Daniel Dahl, Calvin Dahl, Shawn Dahl; daughters: Lyla Dahl and Annette Dahl; seven grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2:00P.M. Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Live Oak Baptist Church in Vernon, Florida with Bro. Tim Lanham officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
