Lonnie Whitfield Baker, age 52, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. He was born in Biloxi, MS on February 21, 1963 to Marl and Willie Virginia (Parker) Baker. Lonnie worked in construction and was a life-long resident of Freeport, FL. He enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball for 15 years in Niceville, FL. Mr. Baker is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife Patti Baker of Freeport, FL, his son J.W. Baker of Freeport, FL, his daughter Haley Baker of Freeport, FL, his brother Randal Baker and wife Ann of Freeport, FL, his two sisters Therese Baker and husband Dave of Valparaiso, FL and Donna Barnett and husband Holit of Niceville, FL. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Heritage Memorial Chapel in Niceville, FL with the Rev. Jim Murphy officiating. Visitation will be held 6 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Chapel. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Garden Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers donation be made to the American Cancer Society 2619 Centennial Blvd # 101, Tallahassee, FL 32308 or flowers are being accepted.
