Lindsay Payne, age 87, passed from this life Friday, January 10, 2025 in Chipley, Florida. He was born in Bonifay, Florida on September 24, 1937 to Lindsay Daniel and Beatrice (Sheffield) Payne. Lindsay worked for Eastern Airlines, was an aircraft mechanic at Whiting Field in Milton, FL, and was in the United States Air Force.

He is preceded in death by parents: Daniel Lindsay and Beatrice Sheffield Payne. Lindsay is survived by his wife of 50 years: Trish Speight Payne, his children: Tammy Roberts (Nick), Brent Payne (Tiffany), Kara Stallings (Shea), his grandchildren: Kendall Huffaker (Weston), Connor Roberts (Abby), Audra Roberts, Aubrey Stallings, Sawyer Stallings, his great-grandchild: Havyn Huffaker, his brother: Dan Payne (Denise), his sister: Barbara Shiver, and numerous nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held 2:00P.M. Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Orr officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Olive Cemetery in Bonifay, Florida. Visitation will be held one hour before the service.
