Leroy Eddie Tucker, age 63, of Vernon, FL stepped into heaven August 17, 2022. Leroy served his country in the National Guard. He is preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Louise (McFarland) Tucker of Vernon, FL, his brother-in-law: Sam Hagan, sister-in-law: Carole Harrison Tucker, nephews; Logan Ransdell, Michael Strickland and Jeffrey Hagan, and one niece: Sheena Cook Tucker.

He is survived by his sisters: Joyce Champion (Buford), Carol Hagan, Cathy Bottoms (Eric), brothers: Henry Tucker (Sue Ellen), Clyde Tucker (Judy), Ronnie Tucker (Joy Post), Michael Tucker, Allen Tucker, Neil Tucker (Cindy Gordon), Ricky Tucker (Sherry), and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Leroy is a lifelong member of Holmes Valley Church.  He was an active member of the choir playing the tambourine; also he maintained the church sign outside the grounds for many years.

His battle with cancer is best described in scripture: 2 Timothy, Chapter 4 Verse 7 – "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the Faith".

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the staff at Vista Inpatient Hospice Services in Panama City for their compassionate care to our brother and his family during this difficult time.

Funeral Services will be held at Holmes "Valley" Church 3685 Reno Drive, Vernon, FL 32462 on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M.  Services will be officiated by Pastor Cody Boyett.  No graveside will follow the funeral services.  In Lieu of Flowers, the family has requested that Donations be made to the Church in Leroy's Memory.
