Lennie K. Greer, age 96 of Cottondale, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in the Jackson Hospital in Marianna. Lennie was born September 18, 1918 in Jackson County to the late Boss E. and Mary Frances (McClain) Kent. She had been a lifelong resident of Jackson County and a member of the Sapp Community Church. In addition to her family she loved sewing and loved the ladies at Signature Courtyard where she had lived for several years. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by husbands; William Douglas Riley, Sterling Carter and Paul Greer; one daughter, Karen Jean Riley; one brother, Howard Kent; three sisters, Ara Bush, Vaudie Sapp and Dovie Wester. Survivors include; three daughters, Shirley Ann Mabry of Alford, Fla., Pat Burnett of Cottondale and Sarah Frankie Blighton and husband Larry of Greenwood, Fla.; sixteen grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren; thirteen Great Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11 A.M. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Mayo officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Kent Cemetery.
