Lawrence Eugene Malloy, affectionately known as Larry, passed away at his residence on April 27, 2026. Born on July 30, 1972, in Tampa, Florida, Larry lived a life marked by dedication, love, and an unwavering commitment to those he held dear.

A tireless hardworker, Larry was the proud owner of a tile flooring business where he worked closely alongside his son Brandon. His work ethic was matched only by his servant’s heart. Larry loved to cook and serve food to others, embodying a spirit of generosity and warmth that touched everyone he met. Beyond his professional life, he found joy in simple pleasures—tending to his beloved chickens, working diligently in his garden, and immersing himself in the natural beauty of his surroundings.

Larry’s passions extended to the sports arena as well; he was a devoted fan of the Florida Gators and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His love of water earned him the endearing nickname “Manatee,” a fitting tribute to his fondness for swimming in the creek and spending time near the water.

Most of all, Larry cherished his family above everything. He delighted in bringing everyone together, creating opportunities to share laughter, stories, and time with one another. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Weslie Malloy; his sons Brandon Malloy and his wife Mikaela, and Ryan Malloy and his wife Kelli; his daughter Brittany Malloy Eldridge and her husband Jeffery; his mother Terri Faircloth; his grandson Axyl Malloy; and a grandson soon to join the family and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his father, Cecil Welch.

A Visitation to Honor Larry's Memory will be held on May 1, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home, located at 1068 Main Street, Chipley, Florida 32428. A Private Interment will be held immediately following the service.

Larry Malloy’s life was one of heartfelt service, love of family, and joyful commitment to those around him. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the family he so deeply loved and nurtured.
