Laura H. Coleman, age 73, of DeFuniak Springs, FL passed from this life on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at North Okaloosa Medical Center.  She was born on August 29, 1949 in Bonifay, FL to the late James Tolva Harrell Sr. and Annie Lee (Lowe) Harrell.

Laura was a special lady with a heart of gold.  She was never without a bright beautiful smile and a sense of humor. Laura knew how to make everyone's days brighter no matter the situation. She was of Christian faith, and everyone in her life could always count on her to be praying for them. She loved everyone she ever met and enjoyed sharing stories with them. If you needed a smile on your face, you knew to talk to Laura.  She never let any obstacle stand in her way throughout her life. She would beat the odds.

Laura worked in Montgomery, AL, as a Computer Manager for McDill Corporation before retiring. After she retired, she moved back to the Chipley and Vernon area she loved so much. Once her health began to decline, she and her husband moved to be closer to their son in DeFuniak Springs, FL.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rodgers E. Coleman of DeFuniak Springs, FL, her son, Rodgers E. Coleman II of DeFuniak Springs, FL, brother, Thomas Harrell and wife Linda Harrell of Port St. Joe, FL, sister, Sarah Shields and husband Randy Shields of Malone, FL, and sister, Judy Cox of Bonifay, FL.  She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00P.M. Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home at.  A private family visitation will be held 1:00P.M. prior to the service. There will be no public visitation.  Reverend Scott Keppell will be officiating.  Interment will follow at the Bonifay City Cemetery.
