Kerry Wilkie Carlton, age 70, passed from this life Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Fl . He was born in Lakeland, Florida on July 17, 1952 to Lewis Bascom and Barbara June (Wilson) Carlton.

Kerry was one of a kind in so many ways. He was a true warrior, mentor and brother who had a heart of gold. He was as genuine as you can get. He had the ability to make you feel like you were the most important person in the room.

He served in the United States Marine Corp, both in the infantry and then in Special Operations and served with honor and courage. After leaving the military he moved to the Orlando area where he was an armed security professional. He had spent many years in the armored car industry.

Kerry eventually moved to Vernon, Florida where he opened his own gunsmithing business, a lifelong dream of his. Kerry eventually retired in Vernon, Florida while operating his gunsmithing business and working at Wal-Mart.

He will be greatly missed…………. fair winds and following seas

He is preceded in death by his parents. Kerry is survived by his sister; Pamela Carlton, his nephew; Joshua Carlton and his great niece; Elizabeth Carlton. Memorialization is by cremation.
