Kenneth D. Carmichael, age 83, passed from this life Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Gulf Breeze Hospital in Gulf Breeze, FL. He was born October 23, 1931 in Sevier County, Tenn. to James W. and Margret Jane (Sheppard) Carmichael. Kenneth was a manager for Bellsouth and served 4 years in the Air Force were he was in the Korean War and then remained in the Air Force Reserve for a additional 19 years were he retired. He has lived in Gulf Breeze for the past 52 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gulf Breeze, FL. Kenneth is preceded in death his parents, one son Kenny Carmichael, and one sister June Hicks. He is survived by his wife Catherine B. Carmichael, one son Shane Carmichael and wife Michelle, and one daughter Kim Cox all of Gulf Breeze, FL, three sisters Barbara O'dell, Wanda Carmichael, and Vivian Hodge all of Knoxville, Tenn. And 2 grandchildren Caleb and Mikayla Carmichael. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Orr officiating. Interment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley, FL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers donations be made to the charity of choice.
