Katie (Davis) Owen, age 79, passed from this life Monday, May 23, 2016, at Northwest Florida Community Hospital.

She was born in Houston County, AL on July 18, 1936, to the late Vander C. and Ruby Jewel (Harrison) Davis.

Mrs. Katie was a housewife and a member of the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Wesley Owen and son Wendell Owen. Mrs. Owen is survived by one son Tim Owen and wife Karen of Chipley, FL, daughter-in-law Lynn Owen, one brother Kenneth Davis and wife Yvonne of Tallahassee, FL. Six grandchildren: Amy Rudd and husband Josh, Kyle Owen and wife Valerie, Jared Owen and wife Jacquelyn, John Owen, Joel Owen, and Jessie Owen. Two great-grandchildren: Wesley Rudd and Kyleigh Owen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Owen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
