Katherine Anne Sullivan, age 63 of Southport, Florida, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in the Bay Medical Center in Panama City. Katherine was born May 9, 1949 in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, to the late B.J. and Katherine Louise (Jackson) Blanton. She had been a resident of Southport for the past four years, coming from Colorado. Katherine was a licensed R.N. and was trained as a surgical nurse. She was a compassionate nurse, and in addition to her love of gardening, she loved her children, her family and Jesus. Survivors include; one son, John P. Sullivan of Estes Park, Colorado; two daughters, Jackie Sullivan and Kate Sullivan both of Southport, Fla.; four brothers, Wayne Blanton of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Barry Blanton of Chipley, Gary Blanton of Duanesburg, New York and David Blanton; one step brother, Gene Carr of Chipley. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. in Brown Funeral Home, Main Street Chapel. Cremation will follow.
