Karen M. (Parsons) Giordano, age 69 of Chipley, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 in the Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley. Karen was born October 11, 1941 in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Jean Sr. and Marian (Wood) Parsons. She was a former instructor at the College of Arkansas and had been a resident of Chipley for the past 20 years, coming from Yellville, Arkansas. Survivors include; one daughter, Shana Lisa Giordano Gibson of Munford, Tennessee; one step-daughter, Linda Baker Martin of Michigan; two step-sons, Glen Martin and Buster Martin, both of Alaska; two brothers, Aaron W. Parsons of Springfield, Illinois and Jean Parsons of Chipley; one sister, Debra Lynn Koval of Illinois and several Grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 10 A.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Main Street Chapel. Memorialization will be by cremation.
