Johnny Moody, age 59 of Chipley, passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 at his home. Johnny was born November 10, 1951 in Chipley to the late John Tom and Mattie (Blackmon) Moody. He was a life-long resident of Chipley and a former gas department supervisor for the City of Chipley for 30 years. Survivors include; his wife, Tina Moody of Chipley; four daughters, Michele Knotts and husband Stephen of Chipley, Joni Simmons and husband Daniel of Dothan, Alabama, Cathy Moody of Chipley and Jennifer Naquin and husband Stan of Panama City, Florida; two sons, Matthew Moody of Chipley and James Mainor and wife Laura of Wewahitchka, Fla.; four brothers, Robert Moody of Lynn Haven, Earl Moody of Alford, William Moody of Alford and Danny Moody of Lake City, Fla.; three sisters, Pearl Newsome of Chipley, Annie Vannest of Lynn Haven and Donnie Baker of Riverbank, California; six grandchildren, Cheyenne, Matthew, Lyndsey, Jenna, Bailey and Aubrey. The family will receive friends Friday, January 14, 2011 from 5 to 6 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Main Street Chapel. Memorial services will follow at 6:00 P.M.
