John Albert Lamb, age 64 of Southport, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 in Bay Medical Center. Mr. Lamb was born October 14, 1946 in Houston County Alabama to William Houston Lamb and Willie Mae (Varnum) Lamb. He had been a resident of Southport for 7 years, coming from Chipley, Florida. He was a self employed as a carpet installer and of the Protestant faith. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Lamb. Survivors include his fiancé, Linda Chambers of Southport, Florida, one son; Richard Ray Lamb of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, two brothers; Ernest Barnes of Chesapeake, Virginia and Bill Lamb of Graceville, Florida, one sister; Betty Strickland of Chipley, Florida, and five grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Wachob Forest Lawn Cemetery, located at Brickyard Road Chapel with Reverend John Dennebher officiating.
