John W. Fuller,79, of Chipley, Florida, passed away August 8, 2010 at St. Joseph in Tampa, Florida. John was a native of Washington County. He was born on June 4, 1931 in Vernon Florida to John Henry and Bessie (Gilbert) Fuller. He was a Retired Transit Specialist with the Florida Department of Transportation. He was a graduate of Vernon High School. He served in the Military with the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the First Baptist Church, Chipley, Florida. Mr. Fuller is survived by his wife Louise Fuller, Chipley, Florida. Two Daughters: Mary Gay Bateham, Jacksonville, Florida. Vanessa and Daniel Strickland, Chipley, Florida. One Son: Harry Hammond and wife Deborah of Panama City, Florida. One Sister: Carolyn Parish and husband James of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. Also, surviving is Five Grandchildren. Four Step-Children: Susan Blount, Kenny Nicholas and Beth Ellison all of Texas and Vickie Nicholas Martin of Westville, Fl. Seven Step-Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Orr officiating. Interment will follow in the Vernon City Cemetery, Vernon, Florida with Brown Funeral Home, Chipley, Florida directing. The Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P.M. on Monday August 9, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home (Brickyard Road Chapel) Chipley, Florida. Flowers are being accepted or those wishing may make donation to the Shuler Fund in c/o of the First Baptist Church, Post Office Box 643, Chipley, Florida in the memory of John W. Fuller. Those asked to serve as active Pallbearers are Rodney Frazier, Bobby Grice, Denny Wood, Jerry Campbell, Frank Kreis and Don Brown.
