Joe Skip Strickland, age 32 of Pensacola, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. Joe was born July 20, 1978 in Pensacola to Roy H. and Faye (Ward) Strickland. He had been a resident of Pensacola for the past six years, moving there from Kansas. Joe loved fishing and hunting and activities at the beach including crabbing. He is predeceased by a brother, Lee Strickland and survivors include; his parents, Roy and Faye Strickland of Chipley; two sisters, Kaylon Booker of Pace, Fla. and Alyse DeLee of St. Francisville, Louisiana; two special Aunts, Shirley LeBlanc of Sharpsburg, Georgia and Betty Booher of Independence, Iowa. Memorialization will be by cremation and memorial services will be announced at a later date.
