Jerry L. Whitson, age 71, passed from this life Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Flowers Hospital. He was born in Knoxville, TN on February 8, 1945 to Charles Fanning and Lois Irene "Reynolds" Whitson. Jerry works as a Grey Hound Bus Driver for 33 years and was in the United States Air Force. He loved to do canvas paintings and to golf. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents. He was survived by his wife of 49 years; Genell Whitson. One son; Lance Whitson. Two daughters; Lillian Annette Whitson and Reene Whitson Gonzalez. Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Cottondale, FL.
