Obituary

On May 7, 2014, God Whispered "Sleep" and Jane Booth entered eternal rest with her family at her bedside. She was born April 30, 1935 to Atlas and Jenny Malone in Lucedale, Mississippi. She later earned a Bachelors degree in Business and was employed with the Jackson County Veterans Service office for 20 years and retired in 1997. She also served as a faithful member of the Disabled Veterans Auxiliary Chapter 22 of Marianna for many years. She professed Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Marvin Chapel Free Will Baptist Church where she served as Church Secretary and Clerk. On September 15, 1957 she became a military wife to William M. Booth Jr. who preceded her in death. Her caring spirit and gentle nature will forever be in our hearts. Survivors include, one son, Rusty Booth and wife Dee of Marianna, FL, one daughter, Katherine Carter and husband Tommy of Gulf Breeze, FL, five grandchildren, Lana Booth, Katherine Peterson and husband Jasma, Jamie Gross and husband Ian, William Booth, Eric Booth and wife Melissa all of Marianna, FL. One Aunt, Benny Dye of Mississippi, two sister in laws, Jessie Booth of Jacksonville, FL and Kitty Finch and husband Robert of Dothan AL. Along with eleven great grandchildren and a host of extended family and dear friends. A special thanks to Sharon Mayes of Marianna and Dr. J. Spence and Dr. M. Akerson. Also, Pricilla Hill and Karey Hevoitt of Covenant Hospice. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the Marvin Chapel. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
