James "Ed" Toole passed from this life Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. He was born on March 27, 1943 to Earley and Mary "Skinner" Toole. James worked as a building contractor most of his life and served in the United States Navy.

James is preceded in death by his parents, his son; Jamie Edward Toole and two sisters; Annette Mary Hood and Voncile Mitchelle. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Toole, his brother; Ernie Toole, his sisters; Martha Iles and Minnie Fountaklis, one grandchild and two great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 22, 2023 at Blue Lake Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 30 minutes before the service.
