James Raymond Pippin, 86 of Chipley, went home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2025 at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Panama City, Florida.
Raymond was born on July 3, 1938 in Chipley, Florida to Quincy and Civie (Dilmore) Pippin. He was an avid Florida State Football fan and enjoyed golf in his younger days. Raymond proudly served in the Army National Guard for 6+ years. He loved his family dearly and will be sorely missed. He was also the owner for over 30 years of TASECO, Telephone Answering Service Equipment Company. He invented his own answer service equipment and sold it across the United States. He was very proud of his accomplishments in this field. Raymond was also a Deacon at First Assembly of God Church in Chipley, FL for many years. He loved his family and Jesus very much and was so proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents: Quincy and Civie Pippin; two sons: Anthony Pippin, Phillip Pippin; sister: Carolyn Hayes.
He is survived by his loving wife: Catherine Pippin of Chipley, Florida; daughter: Diana Hughes and husband Micky of Enterprise, Alabama; grandchildren: Michael Hughes of Chelsea, Alabama; great grandchildren: Ava, Conner, and Grayson.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor 11:00AM Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Grace Assembly in Chipley, Florida with Pastor Dallas Pettis Officiating. Brown Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.
The family will recieve friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
