James Thomas Brantley, age 63 of Chipley, died Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 at his home. A native of Chipley, he had been a resident here since 1980, coming from New Orleans, La. Mr. Brantley was a retired nuclear engineer for the Southern Company and a member of the Chipley Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include his Wife; Judy Brantley of Chipley, two Daughters; Cynthia Georgian Brantley of Seattle, Washington and Melissa Caywood and Husband Richard of Bountiful, Washington, one Brother; Bruce Brantley of Grandridge, Fla., one Sister; Joan Deal of Chipley, two Grandchildren; Jeremy Igace Caywood and Bryan Thomas Caywood. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 5, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel. Services will be held 10:00 A.M Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Brown Funeral, Brickyard Road Chapel with Bishop John Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at Hard Labor Cemetery.
