Jack Evans, age 80, passed from this life Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Bay Medical Center. He was born in Centerpoint, Indiana on October 27, 1929 to Arthur and Rufina (Crafton) Evans. Mr. Evans was a laborer of foundry and retired from Bridgetport Brass Co. He has lived here since 1997 coming from Indianapolis and was of the Protestant faith. Mr. Evans was a life time member of the VFW and a member of the Lions Club. He is preceded in death by 4 brothers Donald, Richard, Bill, and Carroll Evans. Mr. Evans is survived by his wife of 58 years Eula J. Evans of Chipley, Fl. 2 sons David B. Evans of Concord, Michigan and Mark D. Evans and wife Suzy of Newman, Ga. 1 brother Marion M. Evans and wife Patt of Los Alamos, New Mexico. 1 sister Madge Weaver and husband Tim of Brazil, Ind. 2 grandchildren Nathan and Lauren. Funeral services will be held 3 pm Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Burns officiating. Memorialization by cremation.
