Inez Thompson Rose, age 85 of Alford, FL went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 25, 2022. Inez Thompson Rose was born in Hartford, AL on November 15, 1936 to A.C. & Edna Thompson.

Inez moved from Hartford, AL to Miami (Hialeah) FL in the 50's and raised 5 boys; Doug, Kevin, Jeff, Donnie and Timmy with her loving husband of 49 years, Ronald H. Rose.  At 36 years of age her son Donald experienced acute kidney failure and was hospitalized 5 months.  Inez started nursing school to figure out what was wrong with her son.  Her nursing career began in Miami and spanned over 35 years.  She reached the highest credentials in the nursing field (Advanced Register Nurse Practitioner) and was very proud of her achievement.

She moved from Miami to Alford, FL in the 80's and was able to retire and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She attended Alford Baptist and New Salem Church.  She volunteered at Alford Baptist Church Free-Clinic and was proud to serve the Lord.  Inez is a breast cancer survivor and benign brain tumor survivor.  She maintained her sense of humor throughout this and continued her faith in the Lord.  She enjoyed fishing with her son Donald and keeping up with her boys.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her step father Charles Holland, sister Linda E. White, husband Ronald H. Rose, grandmother Mammie Champion, son Kevin A. Rose, son Timothy Rose.  She is survived by her brother Fred A. Thompson, brother Richard C. Thompson, son Doug Rose, son Jeffery L. Rose, son Donald A. Rose (Ann), granddaughters: Jennifer Eddins (Wes), Genevieve Inez Rose, Haley, Crystal Rose, grandson Kevin Ronald Rose, 18 great grandchildren, step grandchildren Danny Moat, Allen Kelly (Crystal) Rebecca Grantham (Kelly).

Funeral Services will be held at Brown Funeral Home 1068 Main Street Chipley, FL on Saturday, April 30, 2022.  Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M.  Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M.  Graveside Services will follow at Wachob Forest Lawn Cemetery 912 Brickyard Road, Chipley, FL 32428 (Washington County).  Officiating Reverend Joey Woodruff, Craig Thompson, Don Rose.
