Huey E. Nance, age 72 of Chipley, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 at his home. Mr. Nance was born September 12, 1939 in Homerville, Georgia to the late Angus and Arzela (Lindsey) Nance. He had been a resident of Chipley since 1982, coming here from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Nance was a retired police officer from the Chipley Police Department, and was a member of the Marianna Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Sunny Hills Independent Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Alma (Finch) Nance of Chipley; two daughters, Beverly Coleman and husband Richard of Chipley and Belinda Nance of Chipley; one brother, Charles Nance of Chipley; one sister, Maxine Page of Sunny Hills; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening November 22, 2011 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 10 A.M. in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road with the Rev. Edward Holeman and Rev. Carlos Finch officiating. Interment will follow in Wausau Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
