Horace W. Martin, age 89, passed from this life Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Washington County Rehab and Nursing Center. He was born in Covington County, AL on April 4, 1927 to Johnathan and Allie "Busbee" Martin. Horace worked as a welder and was a member of the Blue Lake Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife; Madeline Martin. He is survived by his two sons; Lamar Martin of Milberg, FL and Ernie Martin of Sliver Lake, FL. Two daughters; Alice Simmons of Bonifay, FL and Mary Frances of Lakeland, FL. One sister; Jimmie Nell Smith of Winter Garden, FL, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Blue Lake Baptist Church with Rev. John Grabeta officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
