Herndon Schofield, age 83, of Chipley, passed from this life Monday, March 19, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Darlington, Fl. on January 6, 1929 to the late Grover and Elzonia Schofield. Mr. Schofield was a electrician and worked for DOT. He had lived here for the past 54 years and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Schofield was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou (Ramsey) Schofield; 5 brothers Hub, Eulis, Dayton, Ben, and George Schofield; 5 sisters Eutha, Daught, Willie, Mae, Doll Schofield. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Patty Booth and husband Mark of Atmore, Al. and Mary Kathleen Schofield of Chipley, Fl. 1 step-daughter Charity Kuntz of Graceville, Fl. 1 sister-in-law Mildred Schofield. 1 granddaughter Crystal Michelle Allard and husband Christopher. 1 great grandson Benjamin Christopher Allard. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Brown Funeral Home Main Street Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Ward and Rev. Earnie Gray officiating. Burial will follow at 2PM at Gaskin Baptist Church Cemetery in Gaskin, Florida. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service.
