Herbert Evans, age 85, of Ebro, passed from this life Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Washington Rehab and Nursing in Chipley, FL. Herbert was born in Walton County, FL on August, 29, 1929 to Fitch and Izola (Infinger) Evans. He had worked for Hilton Development as a Master Carpenter, was a member of Spring Valley Holiness Church and was a life-long resident of Washington County. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Collie Evans and his parents. Mr. Evans is survived by his 3 sons David Earl Evans and wife Kathy of Ebro, FL, Edward D. Evans of Ebro, FL and Jeffery Evans of Marianna, FL. 1 brother Arnold Joyce Evans of Walton County and 4 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 26, 2015 at 10 A.M. in Spring Valley Holiness Church in Ebro, FL with Rev. Leon Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Ebro Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Spring Valley Holiness Church from 4 P.M. Sunday until service time. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
