Helen Howell Davis, daughter of Alto and Malzie Howell (deceased) originally from Bonifay, passed away on February 5th at Northwest Florida Community Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. M. Davis (Mose) and is survived by their three children Gregory Wayne Davis and wife Mary, Dennis Ronald Davis and wife Shirley. Frances Davis Shadburn and her husband Jan, all of the Cottondale area. She has six grand children and eleven great grand children.
She is also survived by two sisters, Charlotte Cone of Pensacola and Kathryn Crisp of Cottondale; one brother, Fred Howell, of Bonifay. Mrs. Davis was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ila Barber of Cottondale and Nell Locke of Jacksonville and by brothers, Drexel Howell and Shouppe Howell of Bonifay, Lamar Howell of Chesapeake, Virginia and Myron Howell of Fort Walton.
Funeral services will be held at Poplar Springs Baptist Church on February 7, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Michael Orr and Rev. John Howell officiating. Interment will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home Directing. The Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the Church.
