Glen Smith, age 77 of Chipley, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 in the Northwest Florida Community Hospital. Glen was born January 4, 1935 in Chipley, Florida to the late Cullen and Myrta Bell (McDaniel) Smith. A U.S. Army veteran, Glen had retired from the Department of Transportation and was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Lorene Smith of Chipley; one son-in-law, Alan Gay and wife Michelle of Chipley; two grandchildren, Cullen and Logan Smith both of Chipley; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 10 A.M. at the graveside in Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley with Dr. Kermit Soileau officiating.
