Gilford W. Nixon, age 78, passed form this life Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital. He was born in Chipley, Fl. on November 29, 1935 to Woodrow and Rosetta (Riley) Nixon. Mr. Nixon was self-employed at Just Printing and was a Christian. He has lived here since 2010 coming from Chicago. Mr. Gilford was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Milford G. Nixon. He is survived by his wife: Joyce Nixon of Chipley, Fl., one son: Richard J. Nixon of Chipley, Fl., one daughter: Denise A. Fanucchi and husband Charles of Hoffman Estates, Il., one brother: Millard Nixon and wife Linda of Chipley, Fl., four sisters: Wilma Richardson and husband Fred of Chipley, Fl., Eleanor West of Chipley, Fl., Robbie Duran and husband Shannon of Chipley, Fl., and Gwen Barnes and husband Dawn of Panama City, Fl., three grandchildren: Michael Fanucchi and wife Dennielle, Jessica Fanucchi, and Christina Fanucchi, two great grandchildren: Leah Fanucchi and Gianna Fanucchi, and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ted Satterfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Brown Funeral Home of Chipley is in charge of the arrangements.
