Geral N. Brooks, age 77, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, July 8, 2016. She was born on May 6, 1939 to the late Daniel M. Sellers and wife Leona (Leavins) Sellers. She was born and raised in Chipley, FL, and returned back to this area about seven years ago.


Geral is preceded in death by two husbands, Hubert Carter and David Brooks, and one brother, David Sellers. She is survived by three sons, Jim Carter and wife Tina of Inverness, FL, Thomas Wayne Carter of Bonifay, FL, and Gary Carter of Graceville, FL, one daughter, Deadra Norris-Barnes and husband Kennith of Vernon, FL, three sisters, Patti Sievers-Nyer of New Port Richey, FL, Marie Petty of Falls Church, VA, and Eva Rhodes of Port Richey, FL, seven grandchildren, James C. Carter, Allen Carter, Anthony J. Carter, Ashley Norris, Jeffery Norris, Aimee Carter, and Lyndsey Carter, and four great-grandchildren, Eli Duggar, Landon Carter, Isaac Duggar, and Brody Carter.

Memorialization will be by cremation, with Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
