George William Kost, Jr., age 81 of Graceville, passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 at his home. George was born January 21, 1931 in Chesterfield County, Virginia to the late Charles William Sr. and Vergie (Hackworth) Kost. He had retired from both the U.S. Air Force, and as a policeman. A resident of Graceville since 1985, coming from Miami, he was of Baptist faith. Survivors include: two sons, Rodney Kost and wife Katrina of Richmond, Va. and Wayne Kost of Graceville; two sisters, Helen Moore of Lynchburg, Va. and Lois Toler of Lynchburg, Va. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 11, 2012, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel. Interment will follow in Wachob Forest Lawn Cemetery with full military honors.
