Frank Jankowski, age 96, of Sunny Hills, Florida passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015. He was born in Poland on April 15, 1919 to Alexandor and Joanna (Krul) Jankowski. Frank worked as a carpenter making cabinets for Woodwork Corporation of America. He has lived here since 1985 coming from Chicago and was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. Frank served from 1939 to 1945 in the last of the Polish Army under British command under General Montgomery in the Battle of Monte Kasine, he served from the beginning of WWII til the end. He was preceded in death by his parents. Frank is survived by his wife Wanda Jankowski of Sunny Hills, Florida, one brother Mieczyslaw Jankowski Poland and Maria Kuc of Poland. Mass service will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 11, 2015 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Sunny Hills, Florida with Monsignor Francis Szczykutowicz. Interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
