Fannie "Fran" Delora Coleman, age 83, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Covenant Care Hospice; Bay Medical Hospital. Fran was born September 23, 1932, in Jamestown, New York, to Jesse L. and Mossie T. Wilson.
She moved to Panama City in the late 1940's, then to Chipley in the early 1950's. She was a Teacher's Aide at Kate Smith Elementary School and a member of the First Baptist Church for many years. She loved her job working with physically and mentally challenged children.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mossie T. and Jack L. Wilson, and a twin brother Richard, who died at birth. She is survived by her four children, Richard Coleman, Freddie Coleman and wife Gloria, Janie Edmonson, and Delora Coleman, five grandchildren, Lindsey, April, Heather, Bradley, and Jared, and four great-grandchildren, Logan, Hunter, Katie, and Violet.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Chipley, Florida. Visitation will be held one hour prior, and interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Chipley, Florida, with Brown Funeral Home directing. The family has requested that donations be made to Chipley First Baptist Church building fund and flowers are being accepted.
