Floyd "Possum" Jones age 55 of Chipley, passed from this life August 21, 2010 at his home. He was a native of Woodriver, Illinois and has lived in Chipley for the past 15 years moving here from Southport. He was a carpet installer and was self employed. He was survived by two sons, Michael Stephen Jones of Caryville, Fl. and Brian Cover and wife Amy of Illinois. One daughter; Amy Jones of Chipley, Fl. He is preceded in death by brother, Thomas Jones and survived by four brothers, Casey and wife Pam Jones of Panama City, Butch and wife Karen Jones of Lynn Haven, Bill and wife Barbara Jones of Fairgrove, Mo. Mike and wife Elizabeth Jones of Rodgau, Germany. Two sisters Tina and husband Danny Cox of Southport and Kathryn M. Milhome of Grimes, Al. He had one grandchild, Logan Cover, and a beloved dog named Lady. Family thanks all friends and family for their support during Mr. Jones's illness. There will be no services Memorialization will be by cremation.
