Faye Pleas, age 79 of Chipley, FL went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. She was born on January 28, 1936 in Bonifay, FL to the late Levy and Ida (White) Johnson. She is a lifelong resident of the Chipley area and is a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church of Chipley. Faye retired from the Chipley ARC Center in 1997 where she served for over 20 years and she was an avid New York Yankees Baseball fan. Faye is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Pleas. Survivors include, one daughter, Deidra Day and husband Paul of Chipley, FL, three brothers, Berness Johnson of Bonifay, FL, Ronnie Johnson of South Port, FL, Mike Riley of Wausau, FL, two sisters, Ida Jean Deese of Leroy, AL, Rita Waller of Vernon, FL. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 29, 2015 at Glenwood Cemetery with Reverend John Howell officiating. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
