Ervin Eugene (Frog) Flowers, age 76, of Chipley, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 8th, 2009 after a brief illness. He was born in Jack, Alabama on October 9, 1932 to Perry and Lela Mae Flowers. He was a Christian by faith and had lived in Alabama and Florida most of his life. He had lived in Chipley for the past 26 years and had enjoyed plowing with a mule in his earlier years. He enjoyed visiting with his friends at the complex where he had lived until most recently. He also enjoyed gardening, feeding ducks at the complex, and making crafts, which he freely gave to friends and loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Curtis and R.A. Flowers, three Sisters; Mary Stevens, Onie B. Duffell and Flossie Scarborough. He is survived by a host of nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces as well as many local friends.
Cremation will be followed by memorial services which will be held Friday, June 19th, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel on Main St. with the Rev. Mike Orr officiating.
