Era Conway, age 89 of Chipley, passed away Friday, June 18, 2010 in the Northwest Florida Community Hospital. Mrs. Conway was born May 7th, 1921 in Chipley to the late Alex and Ida Mae (Chesnut) Slay. She was a life-long resident of Chipley, a homemaker and Member of the New Prospect Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her Husband; James S. Conway, one son Mark Conway and a Grandson; Jayme Shumaker. Survivors include two Sons; Michael Conway and his wife Teresa of Chipley and James Conway of Chipley, two Daughters; Marcia Thomas of Marianna and Janice Shumaker of Chipley, eleven Grandchildren, thirteen Great Grandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 25th, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the graveside in Glenwood Cemetery with Charles Shumaker officiating. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
