Elnora Carter, age 76 of Chipley, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 in the Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley. Elnora was born August 4, 1935 in Chipley to the late Edward McDonald and Tiera Mardra (Sowell) Stewart. A lifelong resident of Chipley, she was a homemaker and loved crocheting and working crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of over 30 years, Neil Carter and a granddaughter, Janice Dalene Carter. Survivors include: two sons, Jimmy Neil Carter and wife Minnie Donna of Cottondale and Randell Keith Carter and wife Donna of Chipley; two daughters, Belinda Carter of Chipley and Wanda Carter Williams of Chipley; one brother, Farris Stewart of Chipley; one sister, Barbara Sue Tutton of Cottondale; four grandchildren, Landon Brantley Williams, Daniel Neil Carter, Abby Todd and Allyson Godfrey; four great grandchildren, Whitney Shanea Robinson, Kyndal Blake Jackson, Ziva Todd and Zoe Carter. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 4 to 6 P.M. and observe a celebration of her life at Brown Funeral Home, Main Street Chapel. Cremation will follow.
