Elise "Lisa" Jerkins Herndon passed away on July 7, 2021 at her home in Bonifay, Florida.

She was the daughter of the late Wilson Goff Jerkins and Marguerite Miller Jerkins.

Elise was a graduate of Holmes County High School class of 1970. She held degrees from Chipola Junior College, University of West Florida, and a doctorate from the University of South Carolina. She worked as a Licensed Mental Health Councilor.

She was married to Philip Herndon for twenty-six years. Survivors include her husband, her daughter Rachel Hagans Darling (Chris), two grandsons, Kye Maty and Roland Jackson all of Bonifay.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa Florida.
