Elias Guinn, age 87 of Vernon, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in the Washington Rehab and Nursing in Chipley. Elias was born September 25, 1927 in Wolfcoal, Kentucky to the late McAger and Marry (Mullins) Guinn. He had been a resident of Vernon since 1991. Elias had retired from the U.S. Air Force having served 21 years as a firefighter. He was a member of the VFW as well as AmVets. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by five sisters. Survivors include: his wife of 41 years, Rabieb Guinn of Vernon; one son, Sam Guinn of Maryland; one daughter, Judy Wear Guinn of San Antonio, Texas; one grandchild and three great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10 A.M. in the Vernon City Cemetery in Vernon with the Rev. Bobby Pletcher officiating. Full military honors will be presented at graveside.
