Elbert L. Lewis, age 82 Wausau, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011 in the Sims V.A. Hospital in Panama City, Fla. Elbert was born October 16, 1928 in Woodville, Florida to the late Charles Howard and Ruby (Alligood) Lewis. He had been a resident here for the past 50 years, coming from Woodville. Mr. Lewis was a U.S. Navy veteran, a self-employed land surveyor and a member of the Bonnett Pond Community Church. Survivors include; four daughters, Loretta Castilleja of Eagle Lake, Fla., Millie Jones of Auburndale, Fla., Donna Taylor of Wausau and Lee Syfrett of Chipley; four sisters, his twin, Ethel Evans of Tallahassee, Doris Rivers of Tallahassee, Dora Moore of Tallahassee, Ruby Lee Harrison of Marianna; one brother, Hubert Lewis of Panama City, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Robert Castilleja Jr. of Winter Haven, Shane Johnson of Cottondale, Angel Castilleja Neubrand of Auburndale, Jaymie Jones of Winter Haven, Jesse Taylor of Wausau, Zachary Taylor of Wausau, Victoria Syfrett of Chipley and Kyndal Syfrett of Chipley; six great grandchildren, Shelby Castilleja of Winter Haven, Andrew Jones of Dundee, Fla., Bailey Johnson of Cottondale, Ryan Jones of Dundee, Anna Grace Johnson of Cottondale and Landon Neubrand of Auburndale. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 1st, 2011 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Main Street Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 10 A.M. in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Main Street chapel with the Rev. Roger Dale Hagan officiating. Interment will follow in Wausau Memorial Gardens
