Effie Lee Brock, born May 21, 1921 in Vernon, Florida to William Thomas Sheffield and Mattilou Moore Sheffield. She died August 1, 2012 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital. She was an active member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Vernon, Florida. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Edward Brock, her sons Joseph Fredrick Brock and Newton Brock, also by her brothers W.M. Sheffield, Harvey Sheffield, Jimmy Sheffield, George Sheffield, J.L. Sheffield and one grandson Ryan Brock. She is survived by her sons Charles Brock, Hayward Brock, and daughters Wanda Brock, Lilla Brown and Donna Duty. Mrs Brock was also survived by her brothers and sisters Dalton Sheffield, Pauline Wells, Willodean Ketter, Elaine Feldcamp, Pheobe Shaw, seventeen grandchildren; Melissa Whitson, Joey Brock, Eddie Brock, Tommy Brock, Stacey Brock, Tracie Herbert, Tonya Burch, Mark Brock, Shasta Evans, Todd Brown, Robin Holland, Ashley Brown, Brandon Brown, Brian Brock, Ryan Brock, Donavan Melton, Kohl Duty, Thirty one great grandchildren and 2 great, great, grandchildren. Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Vernon Evangelistic Church in Vernon, Florida with Reverend Allan English officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. Family will receive friends from 1:00P.M. to 3:00P.M. prior to service at the church.
