Edward Nicholas Granberry, age 16 of Wausau, FL passed from this life on Friday, January 6, 2017 along with his mother Genene Hicks. Nicholas was born on September 2, 2000 in Fort Walton Beach, FL to Edward Granberry and the late Genene (Hutchins) Hicks.
Nicholas was a student of Chipley High School Graduating Class of 2019 and a member of the Chipley High Choir, Drama and Theatre Department. He was also a former member of the Vernon High Marching Band where he played trumpet.
Along with his mother Nicholas is preceded in death by grandfather, Wendell Granberry and great grandmother Willie Mae Park.
Survivors include his father, Edward Granberry of Graceville, FL, two brothers, Nathaniel Granberry of Wausau, FL, Tristan Hicks of Donaldsonville, GA, one sister, Lillie Adkins of Orlando, FL, grandfather, Ronnie Hutchins of Chipley, FL, grandmother, Janice Park of Wausau, FL, grandmother, Virginia Granberry of Graceville, FL, great grandfather, Charles Park of Wausau, FL and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
Family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Grace and Glory Church of Chipley, FL. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 13, 2017 at Poplar Spring Baptist Church with Reverend John Howell officiating. A Memorial Service in honor of Nicholas's mother, Genene Hicks, will also be held along with the Funeral with Reverend James Barwick officiating. Interment for Nicholas Granberry will follow at the Poplar Springs Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing.
