Drexel Mae Bateman, age 69 of Marianna, Florida, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 in the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. Drexel was born November 16, 1943 in Blountstown, Florida to the late Conner and Nettie (Brown) Fant. She had been a resident of Marianna since 1985, moving there from Chipley and was a former convenient store cashier. Survivors include: two sons, Tony Garrette and wife Lori of Panama City and Tracy A. Garrette of Chipley; one daughter, Teresa Monsalvatge and husband Bill of Chipley; one step-son, Earl Mills of Chipley; one step-sister, Joan Peterson of Chipley; four grandchildren, Stephen, Lia, Travis, Kyle and his wife Hope; four great grandchildren. Memorialization will be by cremation with memorial services to be announced at a later date.
