Douglas McGwen Miller, age 67 of Chipley, passed away Monday, July 09, 2012 at his home. Mr. Miller was born December 5, 1944 in Ponce de Leon Florida to the late William and Flossy Miller. A resident of Chipley most of his life, he was a veteran of the National Guard and U.S. Army. He was a member of the Grace Assembly @ Chipley and a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. Survivors include; his wife, Betty Miller of Chipley; two step-sons, Michael and Monnie Baxter of Holiday, Tennessee; two nephews; Holice and Henry Brown both of Geraldine, Alabama and a host of Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 11th, 2012 from 5 to 7 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Main Street Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10 A.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Main Street Chapel with the Rev. Dallas Pettis, Rev. John Chance and Chubby Watson officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Pondtown Cemetery in Black, Alabama.
