Donnie Russell, age 74 of Chipley, passed away Monday night, March 24, 2014 at the Bay Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Donnie was born March 26, 1939 in Washington County to the late Leon and Verna (Palmer) Russell. He is a lifelong resident of the Washington County area and a member of the First Baptist Church of Chipley, FL. Donnie is survived by his wife Jimmie Lou Russell of Chipley, FL, four daughters, Lynn Paine and husband Thomas of Baton Rouge, LA, Connie Redmon and husband Jeff of Chipley, FL, Carla Elliot and husband Rob of Chattahoochee, FL, Leah Pettis and husband Randy of Chipley, FL, eight grandchildren, Robert and Lee Paine, Jessica (Redmon) Zimmer and Mindy Redmon, Rhyne and Jae Elliot, Cortney (Pettis) Corbin and Meghan Pettis, five great grandchildren, one half-brother, J.D. Cockrell of Mississippi and a very special cousin, Evelyn Tiller of Chipley, FL. Family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Chipley, FL with Memorial Services beginning at 2:00 P.M with Reverend Mike Orr officiating.
