Mr. Donald Gene Holley, 81, of Chipley, Florida passed from this life on Friday, September 3, 2010 in Flowers Hospital, Dothan, Alabama. He was born on August 21, 1929 in Florala, Alabama to Simon T. and Ada (Thurman) Holley. He had resided in Chipley, Florida since 1941 coming from Florala, Alabama. He was of the Church of Christ Faith, where he served as a Minister and Elder. He was a member of the Bonifay Church of Christ, Bonifay, Florida. He was President of the Vica Club at Chipola Junior College and Interim Dean for 2 years at the Vocational Division of Chipola Junior College. Mr. Holley is survived by his wife Mary Holley, Chipley, Florida. One Son Roger Dale and wife Teresa Holley, Milton, Florida. One Brother: Bryant and wife Linda Holley, Chipley, Florida and One Sister Jynell Mashburn, Chipley, Florida. Two Step-Grandchildren and Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 6, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel, Chipley, Florida with Harry Barton officiating. Interment will follow in the New Orange Baptist Church Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home Directing. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel, Chipley, Florida.
